EDINBURG – A Mission woman will spend just over two years in prison for operating a stash house.

Mirna Jacqueline Garcia will serve 27 months behind bars.

A criminal complaint shows the feds raided the home Garcia shared with her boyfriend in December 2015. Agents found 16 people hiding underneath the home.

Agents said they were told by Garcia that she and her boyfriend would be paid $50 for each person they helped hide.

Garcia’s boyfriend is awaiting sentencing.
