BROWNSVILLE - At a vigil held Saturday evening Brownsville Police added $5,000 to the reward for information on Kimberly Avila's disappearance.

Avila, a transgender woman, went missing in 2017.

No suspects have been named in the case.

Cameron County District Attorney Luis Saenz announced Saturday investigators travelled to Waco, Tx following a lead in the case.

There is now a $10,000 reward for information in Avila's disappearance.

Avila's family held the vigil in honor of her birthday, and to keep her case alive.
