MCALLEN – A Rio Grande Valley veteran says he grew tired of never receiving his vehicle title two years after his purchase.

In 2016, CHANNEL 5 NEWS reported Marine Veteran David Floyd hadn’t yet received his title after paying close to $11,000 in full for his Hummer.

Two years later, he’s still in the same situation with the dealership.

KRGV’s Angelo Vargas spoke with Hidalgo County Vehicle Fraud Investigators Cesar Solis to see how they can help Floyd.

“He needs to bring us the documentation when and where he purchased the vehicle,” he explains, “And prove that he paid for the vehicle so that we can assist him in applying for a new title.”

Floyd says he will reach out to Solis and view his options. He says he also hopes others learn from what he’s going through.

If you are in a similar situation and haven't received your title in 30 to 60 days, you can contact the fraud investigations unit at 956-318-2158.
