SAN BENITO – A second woman accused of pocketing money meant for a Rio Grande Valley church has now been identified.

Officials say 28-year-old Roxanna Ruby Rubio was one of two women who allegedly added extra zeroes to church donations made with credit cards.

On Tuesday, police named her accomplice, Mari Lou Arredondo.

Leaders of St. Theresa Church in San Benito say one of the suspects wanted to sell tickets for them, in honor of their grandmother.
