CAMERON COUNTY- SpaceX CEO Elon Musk spoke to a large crowd at the Boca Chica launch site Saturday evening.

He said there's a potential to fly people into space by next year.

Musk added SpaceX had two goals.

The first, is to inspire the public.

The second, is to get people excited about the future of space travel.

Musk said he wanted to make space travel more like air travel, by making the motor reusable instead of a one-time use orbital rocket.

He also added the goal of the Starship prototype at Boca Chica Beach is to fly for a couple of months and then come back to land.
