WESLACO – A Rio Grande Valley gun store owner is affected by the new bump stock regulation.

The regulation was signed on Dec. 18 by acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker.

The federal government is giving bump stock owners and gun manufacturers 90 days to get rid of them.

The bump stocks are coming off the shelves at Bryan Guerra’s local gun store.

Guerra explains if any bump stock owner or manufacturer does not follow the law, they can spend time behind bars.

"They're in violation of NFA laws and they will be breaking the law which is punishable to 15 years in prison,” says Guerra.
