DONNA – Change is underway at a Rio Grande Valley school district.

The Texas Education Agency released the final scores for the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas, known as FIRST, for the more than 1,100 school districts in the state.

Fewer than 20 of those districts received a failing grade; one was Donna Independent School District.

Donna ISD Superintendent Hefedh Azaiez says the latest financial scores reflect the 2016-2017 academic year.
