WESLACO – A Rio Grande Valley technology organization is headed to the hurricane disaster area to help with phone and internet outages. The group, Code RGV, is headed to Rockport.

Once there, they’ll be setting up a hub where people can access the internet and make phone calls.

The center will allow victims to communicate with family, insurance agencies and start paperwork with FEMA.

The organization said many people don’t have a way to communicate at this time.
