HARLINGEN – Unwanted items at a Rio Grande Valley cemetery are causing a lot of questions and concerns, at least for one woman.

She wants whoever is behind it to stop.

A cemetery is a place where the dead should be left in peace; where their living relatives should find comfort.

This is a problem that's disturbed Amparo Escobedo for more than a year.

A repeat disturbance at her mother and father's headstone: small plastic bags knotted at the top with a ball of ingredients inside and a paper with writing.

The plastic bags are also scattered across the cemetery.

Some possibly placed at specific gravesites, while others clustered along the fence line.
