HOV: Valley Man Discusses 'Balancing' Life with Diabetes
DONNA – There’s no perfect formula for how to live a healthy life; for those living with diabetes, it’s all about balance.
For 75 years, Kenneth Schmidt has lived with type 1 diabetes.
“I was just three years old, so it’s hard to remember. One thing I do remember is like every week to begin with, when they first released me from the hospital was the face that they had to do blood draws in my arms and they hurt,” described Schmidt.
Schmidt learned to play a game, a game of balancing as he refers to it.
