PORT ISABEL – Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that broke out at an apartment complex in Port Isabel.

The Los Fresnos Fire Department and the South Padre Island Fire Department responded to a call at the intersection of Longoria and Railroad streets on Monday.

Authorities say the fire started in the kitchen of one of the apartments.

A dog was rescued from the apartment complex.

No one is reported injured.

The fire is now under control. Fire officials are continuing to investigate the cause.
