ARROYO CITY – The Adolph Thomae, Jr. County Park boat ramp in Arroyo City reopened.

Known to be one of the biggest boat ramps in the Laguna Madre area, the ramp will make it easier for anglers to launch and load boats.

The project, which cost more than $843,000, added two new additional boat ramps taking care of the bottlenecking problem boats faced when loading.

A new parking lot was also constructed using a previous paved system that’s deemed environmentally friendly.
