Cameron Co. Residents Asked to Fill Out Damage Assessment

HARLINGEN – Officials are asking Cameron County residents to fill out a flood damage assessment.

According to a press release sent out Tuesday, the county must meet a threshold of $1.4 million to receive assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

On Tuesday, the governor signed a disaster declaration requesting federal assistance for both Hidalgo and Cameron counties.

Residents can forward their address, type of residence, approximate count of how much water went into their homes, estimate of damage and pictures to reporthgn@myharlingen.us.
