Community Holds Vigil for Victims of Fatal EMS Crash

PENITAS – The community came together or a candlelight vigil for the first-responder and patient killed in a head on crash.

The vigil was held at the city’s fire department.

Investigators say the driver of the EMS vehicle, 32-year-old Marine veteran Felipe Huerta Jr., and patient Delia Cortines, 68, both died at the scene.
