LYFORD – A new medical clinic is on its way to a city in Willacy County.

Construction is underway in Lyford for the city’s first medical clinic. The city was awarded a nearly $500,000 grant from the Texas Department of Agriculture.

It will be along FM 498 and Parker Road.

Mayor Pro Tem Jose Solis says the clinic is set to open in eight months, weather permitting.
