Temperatures are down, holiday lights are up, and scammers may be working overtime to steal your payment information.

Some scammers are sending out texts with fake order confirmations. Other scammers will promote gift cards.

"Right now, you need to be very careful," President of the South Texas Better Business Bureau Hilda Martinez said. "Black Friday is just around the corner."
