BROWNSVILLE – An investigation into an overnight officer-involved shooting in Brownsville continues.

The shootout between police and an aggravated robbery suspect at the CVS on the 700 block of E Alton Gloor Boulevard unfolded early Wednesday morning.

A Brownsville police officer sustained a gunshot wound to his leg but is in stable condition.

The suspect also underwent surgery for a gunshot wound to his stomach, police say; his condition unknown.
