DONNA – Employees said they were left to work in the dark after power was cutoff at Donna High School.

Donna ISD said an electrical problem occurred in the main building earlier this month. They said employees decided to work on other Donna schools in the meanwhile.

The district said they hired an outside company to help fix the problem. The company was forced to order special parts to fix it.

Donna ISD said they don’t have a timeline in place to know when the issue will be resolved.

Students are scheduled to return to school on Jan. 4.
