MCALLEN – A former Rio Grande Valley judge turned himself into federal authorities.
Rudy Delgado begins to serve his five year prison sentence.
The former judge was convicted of conspiracy, bribery and obstruction of justice earlier this year.
Delgado has been out on bond since his conviction. He requested his sentence start in January after the holidays, but that request was denied earlier this month.
