Hidalgo County is having a new temporary brush collection schedule starting on Monday, May 22.

This is to help residents throw out any storm-related brush.

The schedule beings Monday and runs until Sunday, May 28th. On Monday, their brush truck will pick up all brush on north Schuerbach Road between Mile 2 and Mile 5 line.

Residents are asked to place brush and yard waste in neat piles or bundles at the curb. They are also asked to avoid putting the brush near fences, gas meters or walls. No loose grass, tires, or construction items will be accepted.

Normal brush collection will resume in June.
