DONNA - An immigration tent facility being built in Donna will go up near the port of entry. 

Immigrants who cross the river to get into the U.S., instead of using an official port, will be able to use the facility, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesperson.   

Crews were seen installing siding onto steel beams at the construction site. 

It's expected to be up and running by May 1.
