MCALLEN – An accused car thief is behind bars just hours after the owner tracked it on social media.

The concern for the owner is the longer the car is missing, the greater the chance it will never be seen again.

The car was a graduation gift for his daughter.

On Tuesday, Raul Sauceda's daughter thought he had picked up the vehicle to work on it, as he does all the time.

The vehicle had been stolen.

After filing a police report with McAllen police, Sauceda took to social media. It wasn’t long before he received a call from his cousin who said he had seen the car on LetGo, a website to buy and sell items.

When Sauceda showed a picture of the man allegedly selling the car to his daughter, she claimed he was her neighbor.
