ALTON – A man who escaped from Border Patrol earlier this month is back under their supervision.

He is facing charges for re-entering the country after deportation.

The 20-year-old was detained by agents near Hidalgo on Dec. 15 after he escaped from a processing facility.

According to a federal complaint, he was with his girlfriend who was running a stash house in Alton.

Agents say they searched her home and found him there.
