EDINBURG – A McAllen man was sentenced to federal prison on child pornography charges.

Daniel Ramirez-Tobias, 26, is convicted of receipt of child pornography.

Officials said Ramirez-Tobias admitted to downloading and viewing child pornography on the internet.

Judge Randy Crane accepted the guilty plea Tuesday.

Ramirez-Tobias will spend the next six years behind bars.
