Rain Brings Ants Out, Causes Problems for A/C Units
ALAMO – Experts are warning the public to spray off bugs that could damage your air conditioning unit.
Rudy Perez, Hess Air operations manager, says insects coming into your home due to the rain and wet ground could leave you stuck in the heat.
“Sometimes the ants will get in between the contacts and it doesn’t let the contact energize,” he says, “so it will run for a while and once it reaches the temperature is supposed to, it shuts off.”
Perez says you can prevent getting ants stuck inside the equipment.
KRGV’s Angelo Vargas has the details.
