Roads Reopen Following Train Derailment in Harlingen

UPDATE (11/3): Roads are back open in Harlingen following a train derailment earlier this week. 

Three cars derailed Wednesday damaging the street's blacktop. 

Wilson Road, from Commerce to T streets, was closed off for the last couple of days while crews worked to repair the damages. 

Union Pacific Railroad said the cause of the derailment is still under investigation.

HARLINGEN – Crews are working to get a train that derailed back on track.

We’re told three of the train’s cars went off its tracks Wednesday evening. 

Harlingen police said Commerce to T streets were closed off to motorists, including Fair Park Boulevard. 

They expect repairs to be complete at least in the next two hours.

No injuries were reported.
