Sharyland Native Suits Up for Washington Nationals in World Series
SHARYLAND – The World Series kicks off Tuesday night between the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals.
The Rio Grande Valley will be keeping a close eye on the games because one of our own is suiting up.
Before Tres Barrera was playing for the Nationals, he was in the Sharyland red and white leading the Rattlers to district titles.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS caught up with his parents, who were on their way to Houston for Game 1.
His father, Felipe, described the moment Tres got the call to be in the big leagues.
