PALMVIEW – Another Palmview program has been suspended.

Two weeks ago, CHANNEL 5 NEWS told you the city’s asset forfeiture program was suspended by the government for improper use of federal dollars.

The Attorney General’s Office suspended their crime victim’s liaison program for the same reason.

The city’s new finance director blames lack of fund monitoring.

Rachel Chapa tells us the city is being investigated by the state and Department of Justice.  However, she doesn’t know for how long.

Until a decision is made, the city cannot use any of the money related to either program.
