UPDATE (8/31): The suspect in the bank robbery in Edinburg has been charged. 

Julio Escalona is facing charges with the incident at IBC Bank. He is also facing drug charges.

His bond is set at more than $300,000.

EDINBURG – Edinburg police say a person of interest wanted in connection to a bank robbery earlier this week has been identified.

We're told that they are cooperating with officials.

The 27-year-old man who threatened a bank clerk and made off with cash is expected to be arraigned Thursday afternoon.
