MCALLEN – Traffic delays continue at international bridges across the Rio Grande Valley.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers are being reassigned to help with the migrant surge.

Some wait times at the bridges were doubled Saturday, which affected both commuters and business owners.

KRGV’s Christian von Preysing spoke with the owner of a small business that runs at a loading bay at McAllen Produce Terminal Market.

"The trucks are held up in Mexico. The products are getting held up one, two days and the produce gets here in poor quality," says Oscar Corral, owner of First Quality Produce.

Mexican-produced products, including tomatillos, watermelon, onions and limes, are arriving late.

Corral says several orders have been cancelled and it’s costing him thousands of dollars every day.
