Traffic flow at Progreso International Bridge concerns Valley leaders, medical experts

The Department of Homeland Security reported an overall 50% decrease in traffic across the southwest border.

However, traffic is still flowing at the Progreso International Bridge after the U.S. and Mexico agreed to a ban on non-essential travel. Yet, the agreement includes several exemptions.

People who frequently cross the bridge told CHANNEL 5 NEWS that foot and vehicle traffic is still much the same.

For nurse practitioner April Lopez, the traffic is a concern. She has seen the gaps in the way the spread of the coronaviruss is controlled.
