Valley Border Patrol Make 40 Arrests in 2 Stash House Busts
WESLACO – Several people in the country illegally were taken into Border Patrol custody after two stash house busts.
On Wednesday, Rio Grande Valley border agents discovered 12 people inside a residence in La Rosita after the Department of Public Safety informed them of a possible human smuggling operation at the house.
On the same day, Border Patrol observed suspicious activity at a Brownsville home. Agents conducted a welfare check at the residence and found 28 people inside who had entered the U.S. illegally.
Border Patrol says they identified all of them to be from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Venezuela.
