Valley Residents Urged to Devise Evacuation Plans
EDINBURG – The Hidalgo County emergency management coordinator is urging residents living in flood-prone areas to have an evacuation plan.
He says evacuations from homes and stranded cars in Weslaco and Donna were made on Tuesday night.
“Our grounds are so saturated right now that we need to be cautious of this depression that may end up impacting us,” says Ricardo Saldana.
He adds pumps have been distributed in Pharr, San Juan, Weslaco and Mercedes.
