Weslaco Man Sentenced to 11 Years for Local Journalist’s Death

BROWNSVILLE – A Weslaco man was sentenced to 11 years in prison Monday for a deadly crash that killed a journalist in Port Isabel.

It happened in March 2018.

The victim, Elizabeth Sweeten, was a journalist with the Port Isabel-South Padre Press.
