Mercedes barber offers free back to school haircuts

With students across the Rio Grande Valley heading back to school, a Mercedes barber offered free haircuts for students.
YGDV Barbershop owner James Horta offered the free haircuts on Tuesday.
“It’s to pass some goodness down to the community, kinda like a giving back for putting the trust in us,” Horta said. “The price for haircuts has been going up, so if this is one of those things I can do to help the community, for sure I’m going to do it.”
YGDV Barbershop is located on 242 2. Texas Avenue #6 in Mercedes.
