SpaceX continues operations at Boca Chica site amid countywide order

BOCA CHICA – Cameron County is under a shelter-in-place order, but SpaceX is still operating. In the order, non-essential businesses are to stay closed.
On Monday, the parking lot for the Boca Chica launch site was filled with cars. Nearby residents are concerned as SpaceX follows through with new hiring goals from a job fair last month.
Last week, Cameron County ordered a shelter-in-place in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
