4 Charged in Illegal Narcotics Bust in Hidalgo Co.

WESLACO – Four people are behind bars following an illegal narcotics bust in Hidalgo County.

Multiple agencies raided five homes in various locations Thursday night after receiving reports of suspected drug houses.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office says they found synthetic marijuana, pot, thousands of pills of Xanax and Rivotril, and over $20,000 in cash inside the residences.

A U-Haul trailer reported stolen at the McAllen Police Department was also recovered.

The following suspects have been charged:

Cecilio Aquino, 33, is charged with two counts of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Cruz De La Garza, 30, is charged with four counts of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Juan Antonio Garza, 43, is charged with two counts of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Jessica Rios, 28, is charged with two counts of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and engaging in organized criminal activity.

U.S. Border Patrol, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations and the McAllen Police Department assisted in the investigation.
