Border Patrol, Fire Crews Rescue Men Stuck in Manhole in Starr Co.
ROMA – Border Patrol agents and fire crews rescued two men who ended up stuck inside a manhole while crossing the border illegally in Roma.
The incident happened Wednesday night near Highway 83.
The responding agents tell CHANNEL 5 NEWS it’s not the first time they’ve seen people using the drainage system to avoid being seen.
The agency says both men were provided medical attention before being sent off for processing.
