CBP Seizes 136 Pounds of Meth at Hidalgo International Bridge

HIDALGO – Over $2.7 million in methamphetamine is off the streets following a bust at the Hidalgo International Bridge.

On Sunday, a white 2006 Ford Lobo pickup truck was referred to secondary for further inspection.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers then found 24 packages of alleged meth.

The drugs along with the vehicle were seized.

The driver, a 46-year-old Mexican citizen, was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.
