WESLACO – A cyclist was hospitalized after being hit by an SUV on Tuesday evening.

It happened near Mile 13 and Palo Verde in Weslaco.

DPS tells us the boy failed to yield the right of way when a Chevrolet Tahoe hit him.

No charges have been filed. The cyclist is expected to recover.
