WESLACO – One man is dead after an auto-pedestrian crash in Weslaco.

The Department of Public Safety tells us the accident happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday between Mile 11 and Mile 12 on FM 1015.

DPS Lt. Johnny Hernandez confirms one person, identified as 29-year-old Mark Anthony Andrade of San Benito, was killed.

Andrade was hit by a pickup truck while he was trying to raise his motorcycle back up after he had somehow lost control driving along FM 1015, according to DPS.

The driver of the truck is cooperating with investigators.
