WILLACY COUNTY--DPS is investigating a crash in Willacy County that left 4 people dead.

FM 186 from FM 1834 to FM 1761 was closed for about seven hours Saturday while troopers investigate. The road is back open.

DPS Lt. Johnny Hernandez said the driver of a tractor trailer is being charged with criminal negligent homicide. He's expected to be taken to the Willacy County Jail. The 38-year-old driver is from Weslaco.

The driver of the tractor trailer lost control and hit a Chevy pick-up head on. The driver of the 18 wheeler was not injured.

The deceased were identified as 36-year-old Luis Cantu, 37-year-old Elizabeth Murad,14-year-old Delroy Cantu and 8-year-old Luis Cantu Jr. All were from La Sara.
