Harlingen Man Arrested after Threatening Police Online
HARLINGEN – A Harlingen man is in custody after threatening a police officer.
Chad Michael Mollish, 22, is charged with making a terroristic threat.
Officials said on Thursday Border Patrol alerted Harlingen police of a social media video threatening their officers.
In the video, Mollish is speaking with a Harlingen police officer during a traffic stop.
After Mollish is released by the officer, he is seen entering his vehicle, displaying a handgun to the camera and threatening to shoot the officer the next time he is stopped.
When officers arrested the man, they found several pills packaged for distribution and a loaded handgun.
He remains behind bars on a $100,000 bond.
