EDINBURG - A man who escaped from a halfway house is back in custody and facing new charges.

Jose Adonis Rodriguez was in prison for smuggling people into the country.

Rodriguez was allowed to serve the last three months of his sentence in the halfway house in Edinburg; he escaped eight days later.

Rodriguez was caught more than a week after his escape.
