Many Valley Residents Out of the Loop with Impeachment Hearings
WESLACO – For nearly a money the public has been able to watch the impeachment hearings against President Donald Trump.
The main question the House Intelligence Committee has been wanting to answer is whether or not President Trump asked the Ukrainians to investigation the Bidens to serve his own political purpose for the 2020 election.
It’s the fourth time in history a U.S. president is under the cloud of impeachment.
For the past month, several witnesses have testified in public hearings. Some specifically about a phone call between Trump and the Ukrainian president.
Then on Thursday, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced that the chairman would proceed to draft the articles of impeachment against the president.
For Rio Grande Valley residents, many are not following the hearings and just want them to end.
A local political science professor says the public should be involved by learning what the hearings are about.
