The McAllen Public Library’s 12th annual South Texas Book Festival is set for Saturday, Oct. 25.

Library officials announced details of the festival in a Wednesday press conference.

The theme for this year’s festival is “Celebrate our roots and stories,” in honor of the stories and traditions that shape the region.

The event is free and open to the public.
