Mercedes Restaurant Owner Claims Bust Phone Line Hurts Business
MERCEDES – A restaurant owner says he hasn’t been able to take orders over the phone or use his credit card reader for a week.
Juan Salazar, the owner of barbeque restaurant PYC, says it’s not the first time he's had issues with his phone line. He says it went down in March for two or three days.
“We use a lot of phone. People coming here have a certain time to eat,” he says. “Seventy-five to 80 percent of our sales are through the phone.”
KRGV’s John Paul Barajas reached out to Salazar’s service provider, Birch Communications.
A tech support representative says someone would be out to fix the issue by 6 p.m. Monday.
