MCALLEN – The Hidalgo County Health Department is investigating a possible case of tuberculosis, or TB, at a McAllen high school.

Letters were sent out to some Nikki Rowe parents.

The health department said only 250 students and staff members at the school received notification.

They said the group is at risk of being exposed to TB.

All 250 people will be tested to see if they were exposed to the bacterial infection.

If anyone tests positive, further testing will be required to find out whether that person actually has TB.
