SAN JUAN – Family members whose loved ones are buried at the San Juan Cemetery want to see a change in how the business is managed.

After numerous complaints about ill-kept grounds, CHANNEL 5 NEWS found the place has been operating on an expired license.

The Texas Funeral Service Commission confirms their license went delinquent back in October 2013. That means any plot they’ve sold since or any funeral service they’ve held has been done so illegally.

KRGV’s Traylor Winkel looked into the issue to find answers. 

Anyone that bought a plot at the San Juan Cemetery after 2013, and believes something may be wrong, can fill out a complaint form at the TFSC’s website.
