SAN JUAN – Police are working on stopping the hazardous Thursday night car-cruising happening in San Juan.

Police say people with trucks and cars come together on Thursday nights to drive around in circles on Raul Longoria Road, between Nolana Loop and 495.

Nestor Gutierrez works at La Curva Taqueria along Raul Longoria Road.

Gutierrez says the cruisers speed and loiter in their parking lot, discouraging business.

San Juan officer Sanchez says lately the Thursday night cruise crowd has grown, involving street racing, driving under the influence, and loitering on private property.

On Thursday, two people were arrested and two vehicles were towed, on top of other stops and citations.
